About Loganberry Inn

About Us

This stunning Victorian style home was built in 1899 for the Marquess family, a professor at Westminster College. It passed through several families before eventually being bought by the Logan’s who established the home as the “Loganberry Inn” in the early 1990’s. The McGeorges purchased the home shortly after it was established and hosted British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher as their first guest in 1996, who was attending the anniversary celebration of Winston Churchill’s “Iron Curtain” (Sinews of Peace) speech. After 23 years the McGeorges sold the Inn to the Abbotts who continued the Inn’s tradition, making several improvements to the property. The Loganberry Inn was most recently purchased by the King’s in 2022 who are looking forward to breathing new life into the home by honoring it’s splendid past and the town of Fulton’s fascinating history.

Hi! I'm Nanette!

Hi! I’m Nanette! I’m originally from Iowa, and have lived in Minnesota, Texas, Washington, California, and now Missouri where I’m living my dream of owning and running a Bed and Breakfast. I’m a Holistic Chef and I’ve done a lot of experimenting and taste testing delicious (and some not so delicious) food from around the country and the world in order to find the perfect versions of the dishes I love. My husband and I spent an entire year cooking every recipe in Chef Curtis Stone’s book “What’s for Dinner” which led to meeting and cooking with him! I’ve had a lot of schooling and job experience including healthcare, marketing, retail, and am also a self-taught real estate photographer and blogger. But my real passion is in cooking and baking the best homemade treats while concentrating on using nutrition and food for health. Choosing to follow a special diet? I was a vegetarian for eight years, have experimented with many diets, and have had gestational diabetes twice. I’m looking forward to meeting you and making sure your stay with us is one of the best experiences you’ll ever have.
