A delicious batch of homemade cookies not only makes your home smell wonderful, they are perfect gifts for friends and family! These Chocolate Crackle Cookies are easy to make and simply divine – one of our favorites here at the Inn!
- 1 cup Ghirardelli chocolate chips
- 2/3 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Melt chocolate chips in double boiler. Remove from heat.
Beat butter and sugar till creamy. Add egg and syrup, mix well.
Stir in melted chocolate.
Add all dry ingredients and mix well.
Roll dough into 1 1/2 inch balls and then roll in sugar.
Place 3 inches apart on a ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 12 minutes. Let cool briefly before removing from pan.
